REVIEW: Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
August 12, 2006Beat PoP3 last night. MUCH, much better than Warrior Without. Still not as good as Sands of Time, but at least UbiSoft didn't f*** it up every way imanagable. There was a much better balance of fighting and puzzles, leaning to more puzzles which I enjoyed alot. This is probably due to the fact that there are stealth kills in the game now. You can sneak up behind someone one when you see the cue, you can take them out with a "God of War style" mini game, even though you only need to push one button.
The music wasn't the giant crap fest like it was in WW, but it felt almost TOO epic sounding. I swear, they must of just copied some parts of God of War because I could of sworn I have heard some of the rifts right from it. The voice acting was also, much better than in WW. Original voice actor, yes! Anyway, much better effort with the sound in general and while there was just a little, there was almost no problems with it unlike.... you guessed it, Warrior Within.
Overall, this is what UbiSoft should of done from the start. Rather than make a quick buck with WW, they should of just taken their time and made sure they got everything right. As much as I enjoy the games that come from UbiSoft, it seems like they are turning more and more into EA. I wonder if that has anything to do with that whole EA buying a stake in UbiSoft.....
